try tears

Preaching about being watchful I was shocked by the rejection I felt facing me. Viewing the people partly even turning away their heads I was reminded of God crying out through Jeremia about his people showing him their back instead of their faces.

Finishing the sermon after an altar call which noone reacted to I asked people to pray out loud. Hearing their nicely sounding prayers but not feeling or being able so see any reaction to the word God had spoken to them made me cry. I felt the pain in my heart, the tear in my eye.

Later on I had to repent for not letting people see me cry. For not giving room to the Spirit. For not giving God the opportunity to turn the hearts with tears.

I can only imagine what God could have done when people would have had the opportuniy to see God's pain.
